  3. Students can learn asynchronously, but most courses still follow a common sequence.
  4. Search engines make information abundant, shifting the challenge toward finding and evaluating it.
  5. Online certificates create alternatives, but degrees remain the dominant signal.
03 · The next assumption shift

AI Era

Questions worth debating when software can understand, generate, decide and act.

  1. Could every learner have a tutor that changes pace, examples and difficulty in real time?
  2. If AI can produce assignments, what should count as evidence of understanding?
  3. Could curriculum become adaptive to each learner instead of fixed for a class?
  4. Could simulations and AI mentors replace parts of lectures and homework?
  5. Could demonstrated capability become more important than seat time or traditional credentials?

Don't ask only
“What can AI automate?”

Ask what no longer has to be true.
